The Division “V/3 IT Systems for Education” of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, The Arts and Culture is collaborating, organising, supporting and managing a number of activities related to: soft- and hardware planning and support for classes, information and support for thematic educational issues, change agent functions for IT in education, planning and coordination of data security for education, planning and coordination for data security for computers and used in class, multimedia applications for the use of new technologies in education, ergonomics, support of documentation and information systems in class, documentation of projects with IT, evaluation and documentation of professional literature, software issues for humanities. It is also the coordinator of the ViS:AT - Virtual School Austria. The main focus of the Division V/3 of the Ministry is to ensure the quality of resources for kids, youngsters, teachers and adults on the Internet.

BM:UKK will be mainly involved in the validation of the project results activities, by leading the validation events in Austria, and providing support to the organisation of events in other countries; will contribute to the German translation of metadata in the learning repositories; will also provide recommendations about the introduction of digital educational content in the educational programs of the Austrian schools.
