Magyar Ökológiai Gazdálkodásért Egyesület - MOGERT (Hungary)

Association for Hungarian Organic Farming (MŐGÉRT) is a new organization for organic agriculture in Hungary and it was legally established on June 2004 in Budapest. MOGERT undertakes representation and harmonisation of activities and interests of organic farmers, researchers of organic farming, organic traders and other actors of the organic sector. The Association is an open and non-profit organization. Main tasks of MOGERT include: to join with the whole Hungarian organic society; to organise organic research and education; to organise cultural activities in connection with organic farming; to enhance environment protection through organic farming; to keep contact with foreign organic organisations; to write studies and papers; to make and publish popularising materials (books, magazines, television and multimedia programs); to exchange scientific results on organic farming; to organise vocational tours; to organise conferences, workshops and meetings; to invite and participate applications; to give help to talented members for participating scientific further education, scholarships; and to act for development of organic farming.

>MOGERT will be responsible for the development, population and deployment of the ECOLOGICA learning repository; will participate in the dissemination & exploitation activities, supporting the formulation of the network with affiliated/interested consumer organisations and professional associations.
